Some teams have two games remaining in the regular season, some only have one, but with that comes the race for the playoffs. Which teams are in, which teams are out? We'll see who makes it over the course of the next two weeks.

Hale County @ Gordo

The Green Wave have already clinched the 3A Region 4 title, but there's still some work left to do if they want to finish the season undefeated, as they'll play host to the Hale County Wildcats this Friday night.

The Wildcats currently sit at 2-3 in region play, and that's good enough to place them fourth in the region, for now. They're fighting for that fourth place spot with the Greensboro Raiders, who are also 2-3 in region play, but a win for the Wildcats won't guarantee a playoff berth. They need the Raiders to fall to the Lamar County Bulldogs in order for them to get into the playoffs.

Speaking of Lamar County vs. Greensboro...

Greensboro @ Lamar County

The Raiders have had a rough season thus far, but they've fought hard and are still in contention to advance to the state playoffs, and all they need to do is defeat Lamar County to make that happen. With only a 3-5 overall record and 2-3 region record, they sit at fifth in 3A Region 4, but own the tiebreaker over Hale County, should it come down to that, as the Raiders defeated the Wildcats 40-12 earlier in the year.

The Bulldogs have been eliminated from playoff contention, but they are still looking to salvage a positive aspect of the 2015 campaign. They come into the game with a 3-5 record but only a 1-4 region record. A win here could catapult them with momentum not only going into next week's match-up with Winfield, but also going into next season.

Helena @ Central-Tuscaloosa

It's not a direct battle for a playoff spot, but the Helena Huskies (6-2, 5-1) travel to Tuscaloosa to take on the Central Falcons (4-4, 3-3). Helena has already clinched second place in 5A Region 4, but the Falcons are fighting for their playoff lives, as they currently sit fifth in region play.

The Falcons absolutely have to win in order to make the playoffs, but they also need help from the region champions Demopolis Tigers, as they get set to take on the fourth place Dallas County Hornets. Should the Hornets lose and the Falcons win, Central-Tuscaloosa will advance to the playoffs. Any other possible outcome would lead to the Hornets advancing (since Central-Tuscaloosa fell to the Hornets earlier this season, 50-14).
