Since Nick Saban has been in Tuscaloosa, his calling card on the recruiting trail has been bringing in elite talent at the running back position: Mark Ingram, Trent Richardson, Eddie Lacy, T.J. Yeldon, and Derrick Henry to name a few. but one of the Tide's 2017 commits could be the best yet.

Aaron Suttles of The Tuscaloosa News joined Chris Stewart on Tuesday to discuss some Bama football and preview the upcoming season, but they also talked about Alabama's 2017 recruiting class and one name stuck out in Suttles' mind: running back Najee Harris, the top prospect in the 2017 class.

"Najee Harris... is the best running back Nick Saban has ever recruited. Yeah, I know the names: Trent Richardson, Mark Ingram, Derrick Henry. There have been two Heisman winners... it's the best running back he's ever committed."

It's somewhat commonplace to hype up some players, especially when they're considered the best in their respective classes, but to suggest Harris is the best running back Saban has ever recruited (and to compare him to Adrian Peterson and Leonard Fournette) is saying quite a bit.

Also, we here at TIDE 99.1 are also doing a bracket for the fans to decide their favorite football player in Alabama history, and a couple of those names are Heisman Trophy running backs under Saban: two players that Suttles says Harris is better than. Will he appear on this list at some point in the future?
