The University of Alabama added one of the nation's strongest legs to its 2017 recruiting class when Brandon Ruiz announced his decision on Friday.

The Arizona prep star is rated as the No. 1 kicker in the country by Chris Sailer Kicking, and they describe him this way:

Brandon is a big time kicking prospect. He is a great athlete with an elite leg. Field goals are outstanding off the ground. He is smooth and accurate. Gets great height on his ball. Kickoffs are a major strength. He hits a big time D1 ball. He is also a dependable punter. Brandon is a competitor that does very well under pressure. A fine young man with a great attitude and work ethic. He is going to dominate the next level.

Alabama now has 13 total commitments for the class of 2017 after Ruiz came on board. One of those is quarterback Mac Jones, who committed earlier this week. He had this message for his future teammate.
