The Alabama men's basketball team has been hovering around the bubble for much of the past month, but the latest 3-game winning streak has helped the Tide climb back up the latest projections.

The last win might be the biggest so far for Avery Johnson's team. Alabama ended Auburn's 14-game winning streak with a 76-71 win on Wednesday night and with it picked up another quadrant 1 victory. That's important in the eyes of the selection committee and will be valuable when seeding is done.

So where does Alabama stand right now in terms of making the tournament? According to ESPN's Joe Lunardi, the Tide is up to a 10-seed in the latest Bracketology. That's a spot higher than the last set of projections, but Lunardi still considers Alabama one of the last eight teams in the tournament. That means the team's margin of error but if it can keep piling up wins in the conference, things are looking up for March.

The Tide will close out January with four games that could go a long way towards determining an NCAA invitation. Mississippi State is up next on Saturday at home followed by a road trip to Ole Miss. Then there will be two big resume-building opportunities against Oklahoma and Missouri to close out the month.
