High school quarterback and Alabama commitment David Cornwell joined The Game on to discuss a wide variety of topics including his plans to visit Tuscaloosa next weekend with Cameron Robinson, a five-star offensive lineman who is also committed to the Crimson Tide. Both recruits rescheduled their original visit date in order to help recruit other visitors such as five-star running back Leonard Fournette.

"I won't be down there this weekend because of the weather," Cornwell told host Ryan Fowler. Me and big Cam are scheduled for next weekend so we could make a bigger impact recruiting. We got about thirteen guys other than us with (Leonard) Fournette being one of those guys that we really want to get. I think it is going be a good splash next weekend."

Cornwell, a Norman, Oklahoma native who has a four-star ranking according to Rivals.com, suffered a knee injury that has some wondering if he can recover in time to compete for the starting job at Alabama next season. When asked about his injury he had very positive things to say about his recovery.

"It's been crazy. At the start I was really confused and didn't know what to do, but Coach Saban has been there all the way to help me through this rehab process. I have been setup with a lot of great guys. Spent quite a bit of time in Birmingham rehabbing with some of the best dudes in the business. I am ahead of schedule. I'll be ready for spring ball like nothing is wrong."

The 6'5", 241-pound quarterback plans to enroll into the University of Alabama in January in order to jump right into the mix. He has high hopes and has been studying the pro-style system with quarterback guru and ESPN analyst George Whitfield who has trained the players like Ben Roethlisberger, Cam Newton, Andrew Luck, and Johnny Manziel.

"I have been going over pro-style systems with George Whitfield out in San Diego just trying to get a grasp of it. As soon as I enroll in January I'll be good to go hitting the playbook and put the accelerator on because I have to learn and get ready for spring ball."
