The Alabama Men’s basketball team fell in a heart breaker to Texas A&M Saturday afternoon, 81-80, on a buzzer-beater inside Coleman Coliseum. Texas A&M (7-7, SEC 1-2) used a strong second half to come back from a 12-point deficit shortly after the half to secure a narrow win over the Crimson Tide (10-5, SEC 1-2).

Sophomore John Petty Jr. led all scorers with a season-high 22 including six three-pointers. Senior Donta Hall recorded his seventh double-double of the season with 14 points, grabbed a career-high 16 rebounds and finished with four blocks. In doing so, Hall became the seventh player in program history to record 200 career blocks. Freshman Kira Lewis Jr. had 14 points and junior Tevin Mack added 10 of his own.

The Tide will return to action on Wednesday, Jan. 16, when it travels to Columbia, Mo. to take on the Missouri Tigers. Tipoff is set for 8 p.m. CT and will be broadcast on SEC Network.
