When the Alabama gymnastics team takes the mat on Friday night, it will be looking to extend a 105-match winning streak against arch-rival Auburn. The historic streak includes regular season and postseason competitions for more than 30 years.

The Crimson Tide enters this meet on the heels of two straight losses - top-ranked Florida and 8th-ranked Georgia. Both meets were on the road and Alabama posted its best two overall scores of the season.

The last time these two teams faced in the regular season, Alabama defeated Auburn by .075 points, winning 196.325-196.250 on January 27, 2012. When the two square off on Friday, Alabama will be led by All-American Kim Jacob. The junior from Raleigh, North Carolina, has won the all-around four out of five meets this season and posted a 39.425 at Florida, matching her career high.

Fans are encouraged to pick up their tickets as soon as possible if you're wanting to go the meet. The athletic department announced Thursday that there were only 900 tickets remaining. 99.1 WDGM will be giving two tickets away on its Facebook page.
