Alabama's top-ranked class of 2019 got even stronger on Monday when four-star athlete DeMarcco Hellams committed to the Crimson Tide.

The DeMatha standout picked Alabama over Clemson and 25 other offers.

"This recruiting process has been stressful but has been a blessing nonetheless and I am grateful for the whole process, with that being said I am 100% sure on my decision and will be announcing my commitment to The University of Alabama," Hellams wrote Monday on Twitter.

Hellams gives Nick Saban's staff the top two prospects in the state of Maryland. Linebacker Shane Lee, who committed one month ago, is the No. 1 in the state.

Alabama is up to 15 total commitments for 2019 and 14 of those are either four-stars or five-stars according to 247Sports composite rankings.
