The Alabama men’s basketball team fell short against the Arizona Wildcats, 88-82, Saturday night at the McKale Memorial Center. Freshman Collin Sexton led the offensive charge, scoring 30 points while shooting an impressive 15-of-16 from the free throw line.

 Alabama (7-3) thrived on the charity stripe, averaging 86% (24-28) from the line while three more players reached double figures in Arizona. Junior Donta Hall had another huge night, recording his second consecutive double-double, the third of the year, scoring 15 points and grabbing 12 rebounds.

Freshman John Petty scored 13 points while sophomore Dazon Ingram added 10 to go along with seven rebounds and six assists.

The Crimson Tide ended the first half on a 7-0 run to snatch the 40-38 lead at the break, but the Wildcats (7-3) clawed back into the game and outscored Alabama 28-22 in the final 10:25 to snap a three-game losing streak.

 Alabama will return to action on Tuesday, Dec. 19 to face Mercer for the second annual Rocket city Classic in Huntsville, Ala. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m. CT and will be televised on SEC Network.
