A little more than a week into fall camp and it seems like the running back group might be flying a bit under the radar. That might be a result of the quarterbacks generating so much interest or the number of new faces on the defensive side, but the ball-carriers might end up being the biggest strength of the team when it's all said and done.

It's a group that runs four deep led by senior Damien Harris, but each guy could seemingly carry the load if called upon. That includes junior Josh Jacobs, who has battled injuries for most of his career and is now healthy and working to get back into the mix for touches at a competitive position.

"I feel great," Jacobs said during fall camp. "I'm definitely making progress of getting back and getting my body right."

While both Damien and Najee Harris appear most likely to get the majority of the carries, Jacobs has carved out a niche as a pass-catching threat in the Alabama offense. In fact, Jacobs is the top returning receiver (14 receptions) along with Jerry Jeudy and Irv Smith Jr.

"I can say they use me different but I wouldn't say I'm totally different. Everybody in that room can catch. Everybody in that room can route-run. And everybody in that room can run. I'm just happy to be the they use."
