Alabama moved one step closer to an SEC West title on Saturday but suffered a huge loss in the process.

Senior safety Eddie Jackson suffered a season-ending injury on a punt return in the fourth quarter of a 33-14 win over Texas A&M. The injury also ends his college career.

Head coach Nick Saban confirmed the news in his postgame press conference.

The injury means Alabama loses its leader in the secondary and the nation's top punt returner.
