The Alabama soccer team is set to host a watch party on Saturday, Aug. 6, at the Alabama Soccer Complex for the United States Women’s National Team vs. France soccer match that is scheduled to start at 3:00 p.m. CT. Admission to the event will be free, and the gates will open at 2:30 p.m. CT.

There will be food provided by Full Moon BBQ Food Truck for fans to purchase, and there will be water and shade covering that will be provided as well. There will be music and games for everyone to play (cornhole, small soccer goals, etc.), and fans will get the opportunity to interact with Alabama players and coaches. The USA vs. France game will be streamed on the video board in the corner of the field for everyone to see.

Tonight the USWNT takes on New Zealand in the first match of group play, and Saturday’s match against France will mark the second match. The USWNT will conclude group play on Saturday, Aug. 13, when they take on Colombia. Follow trending topics about the match on social media by searching the official hash tag #USAvFrance.

The Crimson Tide opens the season against the Sam Houston State Bearkats on Friday, Aug. 19, at 7 p.m. CT at the Alabama Soccer Complex, and at that match the Alabama Marketing Department will be giving away a crimson jersey shirt. Admission will be free to all of the home Alabama soccer games for the 2016 campaign.
