Nearing the halfway point of conference play, Alabama softball heads into this weekend ranked No. 15 in both the USA Today/NFCA poll and the ESPN.com/USA Softball poll.

The Crimson Tide took two of its three games last week on the road at Kentucky, scoring a season-high 24 runs over the three games. The series win helped Alabama move up one spot in both national polls this week. Alabama is now 24-9 overall this season and 5-4 in Southeastern Conference play.

Twelve SEC teams are either ranked in the top 25 or are receiving votes this week. Ranked SEC teams include Florida (4/6), Georgia (6/5), Tennessee (8/12), Texas A&M (10/10), Auburn (11/13), South Carolina (12/11), LSU (14/14), Alabama (15/15), Arkansas (20/21), Kentucky (21/20) and Mississippi State (22/22). Ole Miss is receiving votes outside the top 25 in both polls.

This weekend, Alabama returns home against Florida (32-4, 7-2 SEC) at Rhoads Stadium. The three-game series begins Saturday, April 7 at Noon CT live on ESPN2. Game two is set for a 2 p.m. CT start on Sunday, April 8 live on ESPN2 and the series finale will air live on the SEC Network Monday, April 9 at 6 p.m. CT.
