Alabama softball concludes its fall slate this weekend at Rhoads Stadium, hosting a pair of doubleheaders. The Crimson Tide faces Shelton State on Friday, Oct. 20 at 5 p.m. CT and concludes Sunday, Oct. 22 against Auburn-Montgomery at 1:30 p.m. CT. Admission for each set of games is $5 and tickets can be purchased at the gate.

Proceeds from fall games go to the Bama Softball Walk-Off Club, the official booster club for Alabama softball. Fans wishing to sign up for the club and support the program will have the opportunity to do so at all games throughout the fall season.

These are the final fall games for the Tide and the last chance for fans to see them on the field until the start of the 2018 season in February. Last weekend, Alabama won its first four matchups, taking two from Mobile on Friday before sweeping Wallace State in a doubleheader on Sunday.

Alabama returns 13 players from last season’s team that made its 13th-straight trip to the NCAA Super Regional round and its 19th-straight NCAA Tournament appearance. A senior class of six includes pitcher Alexis Osorio, catcher Carrigan Fain, outfielder Rachel Bobo and infielders Demi Turner, Peyton Grantham and Sydney Booker.

In addition to the 13 returnees, Alabama welcomes six newcomers to the 2018 roster. Junior pitcher Courtney Gettins (Hastings, New Zealand) is a junior college transfer from Florida Southwestern. She is joined by freshmen Kyra Lockhart (Duluth, Ga.), Maddie Morgan (Lynnwood, Wash.), Madison Preston (Centralia, Mo.), Kendall Beth Sides (Dora, Ala.) and Kaylee Tow (Madisonville, Ky.).
