Alabama softball enters NCAA tournament play at No. 13 in the USA Today/NFCA poll and the ESPN.com/USA Softball poll. The Crimson Tide is also ranked No. 16 in the NCAA RPI.

Alabama, who earned the No. 12 seed in the 2018 NCAA Softball Tournament, is ranked 13th for the second-straight week in the NFCA poll while it moved up two spots in the USA Today/NFCA poll. The Tide heads into this week’s Tuscaloosa Regional with a 33-18 overall record.

Eleven SEC teams are ranked in the top 25 or are receiving votes this week, while all 13 earned a spot in the NCAA regional field. Ranked teams include Florida (4/4), Tennessee (7/8), Georgia (9/12), South Carolina (11/10), LSU (12/11), Alabama (13/13), Texas A&M (14/14), Arkansas (15/15), Auburn (16/18) and Kentucky (19/19). Mississippi State is receiving votes outside the top 25 in the NFCA and USA Softball polls.

Alabama opens play at the NCAA Tuscaloosa Regional Friday, May 18 against Middle Tennessee at 8:30 p.m. CT. Tickets are available through the Alabama Ticket Office (205.348.2262) located in the lobby of Coleman Coliseum and online at RollTide.com.
