The Crimson Tide is the highest ranked team from the Southeastern Conference and the highest ranked of any of the 64 teams from last year’s NCAA tournament. Individually, 11 Alabama student-athletes were selected as Easton/NFCA Division-I Scholar-Athletes, including Rachel Bobo, Chandler Dare, Reagan Dykes, Carrigan Fain, Caroline Hardy, Leona Lafaele, Sydney Littlejohn, Haylie McCleney, Madi Moore, Marisa Runyon and Merris Schroder.

Eight of Alabama’s 11 honorees were named to the 2016 Spring SEC Academic Honor Roll, while the remaining three were selected to the SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll.
