Alabama softball concludes the 2017 season ranked No. 12 in the final top 25 rankings from the National Fastpitch Coaches Association, released Monday.

Alabama has finished in the top 25 every season since 2000, a streak of 17-straight. The Tide earned a 46-18 record this season and made its 19th-consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance, doing so every year under head coach Patrick Murphy. A victory in the Tuscaloosa Regional over Minnesota, who is ranked No. 15 in the final NFCA poll, secured Alabama’s spot in the NCAA Super Regional round against eventual World Series runner-up Florida. It was the Tide’s 13th-straight appearance in the Super Regional round, making Alabama the only team in the country to play in all 13 Super Regional rounds since its inception in 2005.
