Alabama softball dropped two spots in both polls this week but retained its top 10 ranking, coming in at No. 4 in the ESPN.com/USA Softball media poll and No. 6 in the USA Today/NFCA coaches poll.

The Crimson Tide was previously ranked second last week in the media poll and fourth in the coaches’ poll, but a loss to North Dakota State last week that snapped an 18-game winning streak caused the dip. Though shifted slightly from last week, the top-10 teams remain the same in both polls. Between the two polls, six different SEC schools are represented in the top 10.

In total, eight SEC schools are represented in the top 25, the most of any conference: Florida (1/1) Auburn (3/3), Alabama (4/6), LSU (6/4), Texas A&M (10/12), Georgia (12/10), Missouri (13/15), Kentucky (15/17) and Tennessee (19/16). Mississippi State is receiving votes in both polls.
