Alabama volleyball continues to make history after its first 9-0 start to the season. The Crimson Tide are ranked No. 25 in this week’s AVCA Division I Coaches Poll, marking the program’s first appearance in the national rankings.

After receiving votes outside the top 25 for the past two weeks, Alabama moved into the national rankings this week after improving to 9-0 with three wins at the Hampton Inn Bama Bash. The 9-0 start is the best in program history and its first nine-match winning streak since 2014. This is the first time Alabama has appeared in the top 25, previously receiving votes this season as well as 2014 and 2015.

The Tide continues its schedule this week with four home matches, first facing Samford on Tuesday, Sept. 11 at 7 p.m. CT. Alabama then hosts the Crimson-White Tournament, beginning on Friday, Sept. 14 against South Alabama at 10 a.m. CT and No. 15 Purdue at 7 p.m. CT. The weekend concludes against Southern Miss Saturday, Sept. 15 at 2 p.m. CT.
