In seven days,, the next wave of high school stars signs their names on the dotted line as part of the early signing period.

One week prior to the start of the early signing period, BamaInsider.com recruiting analyst Andrew Bone detailed what fans should expect when it comes to Alabama's success in the 2019 signing class.

While Tua Tagovailoa was in New York for the Heisman Trophy ceremony, two of America's top high school defensive backs changed their commitments from two prominent Power Five programs. Tulsa, Oklahoma, native Daxton Hill flipped from Michigan to Alabama while Jeffrey Carter of Mansfield, Texas, changed his commitment from Texas A&M to Alabama.

After describing the process involved in securing Hill's signature, Bone hinted at Hill's potential to make an early impact in Tuscaloosa.

"Yeah, I think he's going to come in and really push some of these guys. Alabama's got some great young defensive backs on the team, and they recruited really well in the 2018 recruiting class. Dax is a special talent, and the only thing that I always hold up on is that he's not enrolling until the summer so if he was getting there in January, I'd probably go ahead and say, 'Yeah, he's going to start next year.'" Bone said.

Concerning Carter, Bone stated that Alabama has him as one of their top defensive back targets in the 2019 class. Although BamaInsider.com's recruiting reporter believes the Mansfield, Texas, native will probably sign with Alabama, he emphasized the Tide's need to stay vigilant with Carter.

"He plans on signing next week on December 19, plans on enrolling early but I think Alabama is going to have to watch out for A&M all the way up until that point because they're still recruiting him. I think they're still listening to him a little bit. A&M was suppose to have an in-home visit with him this week." Bone said.

Later in the conversation, Bone offered his thoughts on Clay Webb's commitment to Georgia, the latest on the recruitment of Nakobe Dean, Jordan Battle, Marcus Banks and Trey Sanders.
