Auburn Basketball Offering Full Refund for Season Ticket Holders After FBI Arrests

The federal charges handed down to Auburn associate head coach Chuck Person on Tuesday have already hit the athletic program where it hurts most: revenue.

According to AL.com, Auburn University is offering full refunds on men's basketball season tickets just two days after announcing they had sold out. The cause behind the decision came from the news that Person was one of four college basketball assistant coaches arrested by the FBI on bribery, fraud, and conspiracy charges. He was later suspended without pay by the university.

There's no information on how many fans have taken advantage of this opportunity to return their tickets, but this doesn't bode well for the program. It's not the only fallout from the massive news on Tuesday. The University of Louisville has already placed head coach Rick Pitino and AD Tom Jurich on administrative leave and their future doesn't look promising.

U.S. Attorney Joon H. Kim warned other programs that the investigation hasn't ended and the FBI has even opened up a hotline for people that want to provide tips, which means things will likely get uglier before they get any better.
