Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa Speaks to Media Before the Heisman

What a 2018 it's been for Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.

Not only does Tagovailoa have a national championship as a freshman, but his breakout sophomore season has helped the Crimson Tide to a undefeated season and even some individual hardware after being awarded with Maxwell and Walter Camp awards.

But this weekend he has the opportunity to bring home one award only two other Crimson Tide players say they own, running backs Mark Ingram and Derrick Henry, and that's the Heisman trophy.

After a unforgettable season, Tagovailoa, along with other Heisman finalist QB Kyler Murray from Oklahoma and QB Dwayne Haskins from Ohio State, have the chance to be named the Heisman trophy winner.

Tagovailoa spoke to the media down in New York City one day before the awards and addressed his recent ankle injury, fellow Alabama quarterback Jalen Hurts, his family, owning this moment to his teammates and what it means to him to be nominated for the prestigious Heisman trophy.

"The journey has been awesome and it's been a blessing for me and family to experience first hand, I'm grateful to be here with two amazing quarterbacks as well," Tagovailoa told the media on Friday.
