Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant will play his final NBA game on Wednesday night against the Utah Jazz, and the debate rages on about his place in the history of the game.

In honor of #MambaDay, Chris Stewart posed the question to Alabama men's basketball coach Avery Johnson: who was better, Kobe Bryant or Michael Jordan?

Johnson is in a unique position in that he played against both Bryant and Jordan during his 16-year NBA career. In fact, Johnson was a member of the 1999 San Antonio Spurs team that won the championship between Jordan's three-peat with the Bulls (1996-98) and Bryant's three-peat with the Lakers (2000-02).

You can listen to the former NBA Coach of the Year's answer in the video above.
