Former Alabama linebacker Reggie Ragland had to leave practice on Friday after going down with a knee injury during the Buffalo Bills practice.

According to reports, Ragland suffered the injury during a non-contact portion of practice.

The former Butkus Award finalist is expected to have a big role in the Bills defense as a rookie, but the team will now await test results to find out how significant the injury is.

A two-year starter for Nick Saban at Alabama, Ragland grew into one of the top defensive players in the nation by the end of his career. He led the Crimson Tide in tackles during last year's national championship run and the Bills drafted him in the second round this May.
