Former Alabama quarterback Blake Sims is confident in this year's Crimson Tide football team.

The leader of last year's offense joined The Gary Harris Show on Thursday to discuss life after football and look back on his time in Tuscaloosa. Along the way, he was asked whether he thought this 2015 team would win the national championship.

"Without a doubt," Sims said. "You've got Coach Saban. You've got a great defense. You've got a great offensive coordinator. And you've got a bunch of guys that had this experience last year. They know what to do when they get to Dallas and it's time to play. They know the preparation they have to do. They know the rest they have to get. And they know they got to watch film.

"These guys are hungry and they really want to be the best. And they want to leave this year with the national championship because they didn't like the feeling they had last year."

Sims would know. He was in that locker room last January when Alabama lost its semifinal game against Ohio State in the Sugar Bowl. Much like this year, the Crimson Tide entered that game as a favorite and one of the top seeds.

You can listen to the entire interview with Sims in the video above. He talked a lot about last year's SEC Championship team and the motivation behind this year's SEC Championship team.
