No mercy has no place in this ring.

During a heavyweight fight last week in New Zealand, boxer Willis Meehan yelled at the referee to stop the bout because he was absolutely destroying his opponent, Leamy Tato.

Meehan was raining blows on Tato, who was trapped in the corner, in the second round when he glanced over at the ref and shouted, "Stop the [bleeping] fight!" The ref quickly stepped in and did just that.

In a sport that's based on violence, kudos have to go to Meehan for realizing things were getting way out of hand. As for the ref, you have to wonder why it took so long for him to take action.
