For the first eight games of the season, the offense led by sophomore signal caller Tua Tagovailoa garnered the majority of the positive press clippings for Alabama. However, the defense took center stage in last weekend's 29-0 drubbing of then third ranked LSU.

The Crimson Tide held the Tigers to 13 first downs and 196 yards of total offense including just 12 yards on the ground.

Helping to lead the defensive line for Alabama is Birmingham native Quinnen Williams. The sophomore from Wenonah High School leads the team with 12 tackles for loss and his third on the squad with 43 tackles.

During Wednesday's "Capstone Report with DC" segment of The Blitz, DC from Golden Shores Productions discussed when he noticed the potential for Williams to have a big sophomore season.

"I guess it was spring ball when I first noticed him." DC said. "Hearing some of the players who were going up against him in practice like Jonah Williams and others talk about how hard he was to block and how he had just really improved and then I got to see him face to face. Every part of his game looked like he had upped his game."

Throughout their conversation, DC along with host Martin Houston examine Tuesday's updated rankings form the College Football Playoff Selection Committee, Jerry Jeudy's performance at LSU and how Alabama will formulate their game plan against Mississippi State quarterback Nick Fitzgerald.
