Cecil Hurt of the Tuscaloosa News, joined host of "Southern Fried Sports" Travis Reier Tuesday morning to provide an evaluation of Alabama's basketball program post SEC/Big 12 challenge.

The Crimson Tide fell to Baylor 73-68 on Saturday. Though the Tide scored almost all of their points in the paint, they failed to produce outside of the arc. Which ultimately cost them the game. Alabama will have a chance for redemption hosting Mississippi State tonight.

"They are a veteran, experienced, tough, hard-nosed team." Hurt said describing Miss St. to Reier. "They've been better at home, than on the road. There's nothing that you can look at and say 'oh they are really bad at that'."

The Bulldogs are ranked 22nd nationally, which makes this home game huge looking down the stretch. Especially since the Tide will travel to Auburn this weekend.

"All of their home games are important," Hurt told Reier. "There's no question about that. Once they get past Auburn, there's really a schedule stretch where they could click-off some games."
