It may be too early to officially issue a MILK AND BREAD ALERT, but the latest forecast models suggest that we could see a mix of wintry precipitation Friday into Saturday.

Here's the National Weather Service in Birmingham's latest forecast for Tuscaloosa Friday:

A slight chance of rain between 7am and 1pm, then a chance of snow. Cloudy, with a high near 38. North wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.

Chances for winter weather continue Friday night, with a 20% chance of snow and a low of 27 degrees. Saturday calls for a 20% chance of snow before 7am with a high of 39.
