Alabama and Auburn clash for the first of two meeting this season at Auburn Arena. Although the hardwood edition of the Iron Bowl doesn’t bring the national prestige that we see on the football field every November, bragging rights are always at stake when it comes to these two bitter rivals.

Alabama Head Coach Avery Johnson gets his first opportunity to tame the Tigers while Bruce Pearl looks for his first win over Alabama as Auburn’s head coach.

Auburn comes off a 75-70 upset of #14 Kentucky while Alabama struggled in a 71-63 loss at Vanderbilt also on Saturday.

On this morning’s Inside the Locker Room, Crimson Tide Sports Network Color Analyst Bryan Passink mentioned that perimeter defense could prove to be a key for Alabama.

“They (Auburn) shoot a bunch of them, lead the league in three point attempts, lead the league in three point makes and the percentages are going up. So perimeter defense is a key tonight for Alabama," Passink said.

Auburn hits over nine three point shots per game while Alabama holds the opposition to 34 percent from the three point line.

Tip off is at 8 PM from Auburn Arena. You can listen to the entire conversation with Passink in the video above.
