WBC Heavyweight Champion Deontay Wilder successfully defended his title against Chris Arreola on Saturday, but broke his hand and tore his bicep muscle in the process.

Wilder previously had surgery on his hand in 2009 and then broke it again during his 2015 title-winning bout against then champ Bermane Stiverne. He'll likely be out of the ring till early 2017 as he undergoes two surgeries to repair the torn bicep and hand.

But being injured isn't stopping the champ from letting his fans know exactly how he's doing. Earlier today he posted an Instagram video from his hospital bed after hand surgery.
