Former Alabama golfer Dicky Pride will return to the PGA Tour next season after capturing his first Web.com Tour win on Sunday.

The three-stroke victory at the WinCo Foods Portland Open vaulted Pride up to No. 5 on the tour's money list, which secures his PGA Tour card for the 2015-16 season. The win was his first on a tour-sanctioned event since 1994.

“For a guy that talks a lot, I don’t have a lot to say,” Pride said via PGATour.com. “It’s hasn’t been a couple years, it’s been a couple decades since I hit the winner’s circle. It’s really nice to be back.”

Maybe the coolest part of the victory was the inspirational message he passed along on Twitter. This note he's been carrying all year is proof that hard work and self-belief can lead to high levels of accomplishment.

The new PGA Tour season begins on October 15 with the new Frys.com Open in Napa, California.
