The Alabama football program lost a member of its family on Tuesday when former defensive lineman Jeremy Nunley passed away at the age of 46.

The news hit his former teammates hard. Some of them took to Twitter to share their condolences and a few more spent some time talking to Tide 102.9 about the talented player and likable person.

Among those guests were defensive lineman John Copeland and offensive lineman Kareem McNeal. Both men played alongside Nunley on the 1992 national championship team that finished 13-0.

"It's just heartbreaking," Copeland said. When you accomplish something like we did back in 1992, you build strong and lasting relationships. And with Nunley being local here in Tuscaloosa, I had the opportunity to see him often and it's just heartbreaking. And I know his wife very well and I can imagine what they're going through."

Both interviews can be heard in their entirety below and really show what kind of bond these players had with each other.
