Former LSU Coach Les Miles on Tua Tagovailoa Against LSU

Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is having a record-breaking season. But one former SEC coach believes this weekend the sophomore QB will finally meet his match against the LSU Tigers.

Former LSU Tigers head coach Les Miles joined The Game with Ryan Fowler and he believes Tagovailoa will struggle going up against the Tigers defense.

"I think Tua's going to have a tough day and here's why," Miles told the show. "He's ankle is a little gimpy, he'll be a little under the weather and he won't be quite as fast, he's accuracy not quite as good."

"The thing Tua's going to run into is the same thing Jake Fromm's ran into when he played LSU. Fromm just looked phenomenal, he's very comfortable in the pocket. Then suddenly he plays LSU and he can't find a place to throw it, he throws fixs, he's completely out of rhythm, that's what's going to happen to Tua."

The injury Miles was referring to was Tagovailoa's knee, but he confirmed in a media availability on Monday that he was 100 percent and is only using the brace for protection.

Miles would go on to describe the Tigers secondary that includes Kristian Fulton and Greedy Williams closing Tagovailoa windows to throw the football and the Crimson Tide will be forced to win the game with the running game.

"The offense is not going to throw like they have prolifically thrown before, the offense is going to have to run the football," Miles said.

"Now how do run the football if you allow LSU to play man? Well you don't because there is a extra man in the box, and you know what LSU have men up there now, so they're going to have a tough time running the ball. LSU's defense beats Alabama's offense."

He also broke down Alabama's defense against LSU's offense, Tigers defensive coordinator Dave Aranda, discuss the on-going Alabama/LSU rivalry and how he would describe Tiger Stadium to an outsider as the Crimson Tide head to their most hostile environment they've played all season.
