Former Alabama Basketball Coach David Hobbs surveyed the current state of college basketball on Wednesday’s edition of Inside the Locker Room.

Hobbs mentioned that the evolving nature of college athletics into an entertainment business, various rules changes affecting the physicality of the game and the decreased level of NBA caliber talent are factors shaping modern day college basketball.

The former Crimson Tide coach tackled a couple of common stereotypes relating to talent in college basketball and explained how the talent level that he observes while covering the south as an NBA scout is underrated.

Hobbs took the Crimson Tide to 2 NCAA Tournament appearances while compiling a 110-76 record in six seasons in Tuscaloosa.

Inside the Locker Room airs each weekday from 7-9 AM on Tide 99.1 and the radioPup app.
