Alabama head coach Nick Saban spoke positively about his team following its 11th straight win over Tennessee.

Following the 45-7 win on Saturday, the Crimson Tide head coach met with the media and gave his thoughts on the performance.

“I was really pleased with the way our team came out and played in the second half," Saban said. "I thought we were more physical, we had better energy, and we played faster on offense. Defense did a pretty good job all day, especially on third down getting off field so they couldn’t sustain drives. We have a lot of respect for their running back and their running game, and we did a pretty good job, except for a couple draws in long-yardage situations, of stopping the run.

The 11 straight wins over the Vols ties a record set by Bear Bryant's teams in the 70s and 80s, and Saban recognized the importance of the win.

"This is a big game for us and a big game for a lot of our people. It’s a traditional game that means a lot to a lot of folks that we have a tremendous amount of respect for. I’m excited, pleased, and happy that we were able to win this game, and I’m really pleased with the way we played in the second half."
