Hear What Nick Saban Said After Alabama’s 41-9 Win Over Arkansas

Nick Saban said all week that he wanted to see how his team would respond after the performance against Texas A&M, and Alabama came out with a 75-yard touchdown on the first play from scrimmage.

The Tide would roll on to a 41-9 victory to stay perfect on the season, and the head coach shared his thoughts with the media after the game.

"I’m really pleased (with tonight’s win). I think that this was a really good team win for us," Saban said. "It was a goal to go out there and play for four quarters, to finish the game the right way and to continue to create an identity for the team in terms of how they compete – commitment to discipline, execution, effort, intensity, and the kind of toughness we want to play with. I was pleased with the way the players responded."

Alabama rushed for more than 300 yards for the fourth time this season and outgained Arkansas by 269 yards, but Saban found some areas for improvement this week.

"Obviously, there are a few things to clean up. We turned the ball over a couple times on special teams and offense. We took too many penalties, especially at the end of the game when we were trying to play some other players. We had three 15-yard penalties on their touchdown drive."

The Crimson Tide will take the day off on Sunday before returning to the practice field on Monday to start preparing for Tennessee.
