This year brought our nation many polarizing topics and major news stories. As we look back on 2015, let's take a look at the topics that Alabama googled more than any other state.

The real estate blog Estately searched through Google Trends to find the top searches for all fifty states. Maybe it's not too surprising considering the strong Republican population, but presidential candidate Ben Carson was googled more in Alabama than anywhere in the country.

The neurosurgeon is running for the Republican Party nomination in 2016 and has drawn a lot of interest throughout the south. But no where been as curious about the 64-year-old than the Yellowhammer State.

The other topics that our state searched more than any other were:

  • Same-sex marriage
  • Ken Stabler
  • Laverne Cox

If you're interested in seeing what the other states were googling, you can look at Estately's list for all 50 states here.
