Incoming Alabama softball transfer pitcher Krystal Goodman was named the Dudley NJCAA Division-I Softball Pitcher of the Year, it was announced Thursday.

Goodman went 26-2 with a 0.46 ERA last season at Chipola College, leading the team to a runner-up finish at the NJCAA Division-I Softball Championship. She struck out 227 batters over 181.1 innings and threw 18 complete games, holding opponents to a .116 batting average. She is a two-time First Team All-American with the Lady Indians and earned First Team All-Academic honors this past season.

A native of Long Beach, Miss., Goodman is one of five newcomers set to join the Alabama program for the 2019 season, along with NLI signees Kloyee Anderson, Kayla Davis, Montana Fouts and Skylar Wallace.
