Irma to Bring Strong Winds, Heavy Rain to West Alabama
The impacts of Hurricane Irma will be felt over much of the southeastern United States, and a Tropical Storm Warning is already in effect for the eastern portion of Alabama. In Tuscaloosa, we could see strong winds and heavy rainfall as Irma makes her way inland.
The National Weather Service in Birmingham's latest forecast suggests Tuscaloosa could see sustained winds of close to 30 miles an hour throughout the day tomorrow--and sustained winds will be much stronger in eastern Alabama. Tuscaloosa could see wind gusts of up to 40 mph tomorrow as well.
