The nation's top kicker will sign with the Florida Gators after decommitting from the University of Alabama just one day earlier.

Miami native Eddy Pineiro announced his decision on Wednesday night and shared it on Twitter.

Pineiro has become a social media star this year as he routinely posted long kicks and trick shots to his Twitter account. His latest video shows him making a field goal from over 70 yards out.

Pineiro originally committed to Alabama in June, but coaches never stopped recruiting him. Both Nick Saban and Jim McElwain made in-home visits after the SEC Championship Game, and the Gators eventually won out.

But some of that might have to do with the opportunity at each school. Florida kickers made just seven field goals while missing five extra points this season. At Alabama, second team All-SEC kicker Adam Griffith will return for his senior season. Pineiro should have a much better opportunity to start in 2016 in Gainesville.
