The LSU fanbase will have two weeks to let their anger simmer over the targeting call made on linebacker Devin White but they won't be sitting back and remaining silent.

If you haven't seen the play yet, it came in the second half of LSU's win over Mississippi State and was a questionable call based on the replay.

Since this play happened, LSU fans have been joined by others around the SEC to start pushing a conspiracy theory involving the conference colluding with Alabama to give the Tide an advantage on the field. As ludicrous as it may sound, it's true. There's a portion of college football fans that believe this.

Noted LSU alum James Carville even took it upon himself to publish a letter in The Advocate calling out the SEC office and its affinity for helping out Nick Saban and Alabama. In an age of hot takes and outlandishness, this one stands out.

To further state their case and try to get the SEC to reverse the decision, a message board on TigerDroppings.com started a fundraiser to buy billboards around the Birmingham area, which is home to the league's office. It's more evidence of why you should never question the passion of LSU fans. In just a couple days, they raised more than $6,000 and had 14 digital billboards running a #FreeDevinWhite message by Tuesday afternoon.

You can follow the thread and see the locations of all the billboards here. The good news is the excess money raised will go to the LSU Vet School, which will actually make a difference.
