The Alabama defense answered the bell against a high-powered Texas A&M offense on Saturday afternoon. The Crimson Tide's five sacks and two forced turnovers helped limit the Aggies to nearly 150 fewer yards than its previous season low.

One of those turnovers came in the second quarter when defensive back Marlon Humphrey closed fast on a Trevor Knight pass and made an interception. It was his second on the season and fifth of his career.

For the game, Texas A&M rushed for 114 yards and passed for just 164 yards. The 278 total yards of offense raised Alabama's season average, but the defense still leads the nation against the run.
