If you ever question Nick Saban's focus during the college football season, just stop.

One of the craziest days in United States history unfolded on Tuesday as Donald Trump became the 45th president, and the Alabama head coach didn't even realize it was going on

"To be honest with you, I didn't even know yesterday was election day," Saban said. "It was so important to me that I didn't know it was happening. We're focused on other things here."

Beyond the routine of preparing his team for a game, Saban said he avoids political comments because there's not much good that can come from it.

"I don't really make political comments. If I say I like one person, that means that everybody that voted for the other person doesn't like me. So why would I do that? I want what's best for our country."

Whether he has any interest in the election or not, it likely won't be long until Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide visit the White House again.
