Wednesday marks the one month mark until the opening Saturday of the college football season, and the point spreads are starting to settle in.

That includes the colossal showdown between Alabama and Florida State on September 2. All eyes will be on the game that should pit two top-5 teams against each other to begin the season, and oddsmakers like the Crimson Tide by a touchdown. Bovada posted game lines for week one and Alabama finds itself a 7-point favorite.

That might seem a little large considering the talent Nick Saban lost to the NFL Draft this spring as well as the strength of the opponent. That point spread has actually doubled from where oddsmakers set it following the end of the 2016 season. Alabama was only a 3.5-point favorite when the first lines came out in January.

Here's a look at the point spreads for other notable week one games:

  • Michigan (-4) vs Florida
  • NC State (-5) vs South Carolina
  • LSU (-13) vs BYU
  • UCLA (-3.5) vs Texas A&M
  • Tennessee (-3.5) vs Georgia Tech
