Running back Eddie Lacy has landed his first Sports Illustrated cover as a Green Bay Packer and the second of his football career.

The August cover photo caps an incredible rise to stardom for the former Alabama running back. Just two years ago, Alabama fans were wondering whether he'd be able to fill Trent Richardson's shoes as the primary ball-carrier heading into the 2012 season. Since that time, he led the Crimson Tide to a second-straight national championship with an MVP performance in the BCS title game and catapulted to one of the NFL's best running backs following a Pro Bowl season where he won AP NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year.

In fact, the Louisiana native landed his first cover following a 20 carry, 140 yard rushing performance against Notre Dame in Miami.

Lacy will look to build on his 1,178 rushing yards in 2013, which makes him the fifth best fantasy option at his position according to Sports Illustrated. The magazine will have a fantasy focus for the upcoming NFL season.
