The Tuscaloosa food scene just keeps getting better. I was driving downtown today and noticed some activity in the old Tin Top location at Temerson Square. I'd heard rumors of a new steakhouse coming to Tuscaloosa so I had to stop and check it out. I'm glad I did.

I met Southern Dining Resources Chef and Ops Manager, Kyle Starnes. SDR is behind several local area favorites including T-Town Cafe. While workers hung curtains and employees were busy behind the bar, we talked food. Kyle told me about the premium beef from Buckhead and Evans - Bone in Ribeyes , Bone in Veal and pork chops, all on the menu at R Davidson.

Tonight is friends and family night. It's kind of a practice run for the staff. Kyle graciously invited me to Friday nights VIP dinner. I am stoked. We get to sample the hard work! I visited R Davidson Chophouse on Facebook and the pictures coming out of the test kitchen look fantastic!
