Even during practice, Alabama football can't escape the injury bug.

According to BamaOnline, five-star true freshman LaBryan Ray broke his foot in practice and underwent surgery on Friday. He is the fifth defender that's been injured and had surgery this season for the Crimson Tide.

Ray, an elite recruit out of Madison, Alabama, has appeared in six games this season, totaling five tackles. He's primarily played defensive line but has also worked some out linebacker in practice.

There's no timeline for Ray's return but Saban will likely have an update next time he meets with the media.
