Alabama appears to be getting some immediate help at linebacker. 247Sports is reporting that former Washington signee Brandon 'Ale' Kaho is headed to Tuscaloosa after receiving a release from the Huskies.

The four-star linebacker from Reno, Nevada, was a longtime BYU commitment before flipping to Washington. He reported to school but never enrolled and cited personal reasons for his release from his National Letter of Intent, which Washington head coach Chris Peterson granted on Monday.

“His family was really adamant that he needs to — he’s going through some stuff and he needs to be close to his family,” Petersen said. “And we get that. You’ve got to do the right thing. We wish him the best.”

Kaho could arrive in Tuscaloosa as early as Wednesday and he'll be eligible to play immediately under NCAA rules. It'll remain to be seen how quickly he can get up to speed and learn the defense, but his addition to the Crimson Tide roster will add some depth at the position moving forward.
