Alabama sophomore Raekwon Davis was hit by a stray bullet early Sunday morning outside a bar in Tuscaloosa.

The Tuscaloosa News broke the story and reported that Davis was admitted to the hospital with an injury to his leg. The shooting happened at Bar 17 on the west side of the city near the campus of Stillman College. The venue was showing the Floyd Mayweather-Conor McGregor fight on Saturday.

According to the report, Davis was hit by a stray bullet while standing in the parking lot but it doesn't appear to be serious.

Davis has been a breakout player this offseason and has worked his way up to the first group at defensive end. He was expected to open the season as a starter along the defensive line when Alabama faces Florida State, but his status moving forward is unknown.
